Benefits of offering Fajar Prayer

The building of Islam is standing on five pillars. Namaz is one of the important pillars of this building. As a Muslims it is our foremost duty to offer five prayers in day. But many of us offer four prayers and the reason behind this is that we cannot wakeup in morning. We don’t know that how many benefits are there to offer fajar prayer. If we will know we will never leave the Fajar prayer.

1.      Protection of Allah
The person who offers Fajar prayer remains in the protection of Allah Almighty in this world and the world hereafter.  In a Hadith it is said that:-
“Whoever prays Subh (Dawn prayer), then he is under the protection of Allah, but anyone who falls short with regard to the rights of Allah, then Allah will seize him and will throw him into the Fire of Hell.”

2.      Protection from the fire of Hell
Fajar prayer saves the person from the fire of hell. In a Hadith it is said that:-
“No one will enter the Fire who prays before the sun rises and before it sets.”

3.      Angels find the person praying
It is said by Holy Prophet (PBUH) that:-
“Angels come to you in shifts by night and by day. They meet at salah al-Fajr and salah al-Asr, then those who had stayed with you at night ascend, and are asked by the One Who knows better than they: “How did you find My servants?”
They say, “We left them when they were praying, and we came to them when they were praying”.

4.      Better than everything
It is said by Holy Prophet (PBUH) that:-
“Two Rakah of Fajr are better than this world and everything in it.”

5.      Avail a chance to see the Lord
It is said by Holy Prophet (PBUH) that:-
“You will certainly see your Lord as you see this (moon), and there will be no trouble in seeing Him. So, if you can avoid missing (through sleep, business, etc.) a prayer before the rising of the sun (Fajr) and before its setting (Asr) you must do so.”

6.      Source of energy and good temperament
It is said by Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) that:-
“The Satan ties three knots on the back of your heads when one of you goes to sleep. He blows (an incantation) on every knot, (saying): ‘You have a long night, so sleep (through it).’ so if the person wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is untied. And if he performs Wudu (ablution), another knot is untied. And if he prays, another knot is untied, and he arises (in the morning) energetic and having a good temperament. Otherwise, he arises with a bad temperament, feeling lazy.”

May Allah give us the power to offer Fajar prayer regularly! (Amen)
