Physical Benefits of Offering Salah

The building of Islam is standing on five pillars. Salah is one of the most important pillars. It is the distinctive quality of the Muslims. This worship differentiates Muslims from non Muslims. It is the obligation upon every Muslim to perform Salah five times a day.  There are many spiritual benefits of offering salah. It brings Muslim close to Allah Almighty. By offering Salah Muslims will get the reward in this world and also in the next world too.

Along with spiritual benefits there are a lot of physical benefits too.

      1.     It Improves The Body Posture
Some people have improper body posture and they try to find the treatment to get rid from this improper body posture. There are certain reasons behind this improper body posture. This can be because of the kind of work he/she is doing or can be because of the way a person walks.  The way a Muslim stands for namaz is a best exercise to improve the body posture. While standing feet remain apart, the person stands in a straight position and back bone remains straight. So in this way Salah gives physical benefits.

     2.     It Stretches The Body
While offering salah there is a state of Raku. In this state we bend to the knees and our back and hands remain straight. In this posture our body stretches.  The flow of the blood toward the upper part of the body improves.

     3.     It Controls The Belly Fat
Many people face the issue of belly fat and search for exercises to control their belly fat. Salah is a best exercise to control the body fat.  When go for sajdah it helps us to increase the belly fat. The pressure is being put on abdominal muscle during sajda so it’s a best exercise for those who want slim abs.

     4.     It Improves The Digesting System
In the state of Tashhud men sit with their right foot curled and women sit with both feet sole up under their bodies. This position improves the digesting system. This state improves the liver function of men and the stomach function of women.

     5.     Cleanliness
When a person offers Salah he/she must be in the state of cleanliness. Wadu is being performed by every Muslim before offering prayer. So it helps to clean the outer surface of our body. So wadu is a best action to keep our skin clean. While staying clean a person feel healthy, light and lively.

So these physical benefits of Salah prove this thing that it is a complete exercise which keeps us healthy and fit.  May Allah help us and make the habit of us to offer Salah regularly (amen).
